Object Oriented Programming (OOP)

When I started reading about programming Python a month ago or so, the words “Object Oriented Programming” loomed large above the clouds of programming mumbo jumbo. I’ve now gobbled up the first chapters about OOP, reading about classes and objects and instances, and it makes a lot of sense. In fact, I’m wondering how the same kind of programming as the code I was reading would be written without the use of OOP ? Fully aware that this is only mile 1 of an educational marathon, I say: Bring it on !

  1. It’s great to see people branching out into different programming paradigms. I’ve recently taken to learning Haskell after realising that most of my experience was with either object-oriented or imperative languages. Variety not only helps you be a better programmer in general, but makes you think differently about what you already know.

Good luck with OOP! I’m sure you’ll love it.
